Rafał Dubicki Quartet – Story about emotions

13.09 , 21:00

This is the first studio album with the compositions of Rafał Dubicki, a young and talented trumpet virtuoso.

Rafał Dubicki has honed his art through years of playing with artists such as Sylwia Grzeszczak, Ray Wilson, Michał Sołtan and the band Pendofsky. The trumpeter has explained that the album will be a free take on his own experiences, which will not be full of melody and clear accents. As he adds - "it is jazz that was inspired by the golden children of this music". Rafał Dubicki has already proved himself in the music community as a strong supporter of the Fesian Freedom of Sound and a swing fan. Some of the many awards he has picked up include the main prize at the improvisation competition at the Baszta Festival in 2016 and the main prize at the big band competition in Nowy Tomyśl.

Although this is his first album, ‘Story About Emotions’ will be one of those albums that offer not only solid music skills, but also thoughtful compositions. Listeners can forget about the uniformity of sound - Dubicki's musicians get carried away by the trumpeter's youthful fantasy and accurately accentuate the emotional load of each song - all in their own way.
