This event begins a series of readings under the slogan "Ocean Stories" held in the Art Incubator. In this band we will present the most important and interesting texts of contemporary writers, whose work allows us to better understand the world in which we live.
** Zadie Smith ** - cult British writer loved by readers. Her first novel White Teeth won the Whitbread First Novel Award for best debut in 2000 and stormed bestseller lists around the world. O beautiful (2005) and Swing Time (2016) received Booker Award nominations. The publishing house also published: Autograph Hunter (2002), Jak changed my mind. Occasional Essays (2010), London NW (2014) and Sees Me (2018). In the latest collection of short stories, Grand Union talks about sexuality without taboos, explores the need for intimacy, looks for the limits of freedom. He balances on a thin line between devotion and addiction. Each of us will find something in her stories that will allow him to discover the unknown truth about himself.
** Magdalena Boć ** - graduate of the PWST in Krakow, theater and film actress. She also graduated in philosophy at the University of Gdańsk. Lecturer at the Music Academy in Gdańsk. Full time associated with the Wybrzeże Theater, where she starred in over 40 performances. Cooperating with the BOTO Theater and PC Drama. Searching for new challenges, she directed the opera Cleofide by Johann Adolf Hasse at the Academy of Music in Wrocław, the musical Ordinary Madness based on the play The Story of Ordinary Madness by Petr Zelenka and Whispers and Screams by Bergman in her own adaptation. Currently writing a doctorate at the Academy of Theater Arts in Krakow.
