Sopocki Klub Żeglarski Hestia Sopot is one of the biggest windsurfing clubs in Europe. The club was established in 1983 and now we count as many as 300 members, both amateurs and professional sailors. Our competitors are the winners of European and World Junior, Youth, Senior and Master Championships. Our best sailor Przemysław Miarczyński has for many years been on top of Olympic Windsurfing, being both European and World Champion. He competed three times in the Olympic Games and has been top ranked in ISAF Sailor ranking for a large part o his career.
Apart from windsurfing we develop other sailing areas – L’Equipe and Optimist for the youngest and catamarans, 49er and Laser. In these fields we also have substantial success with Maciej Grabowski, our competitor in class Laser, being third in Laser European Championship and participating in the Olympic Games.
Sopocki Club Żeglarski Hestia Sopot has organized a lot of regattas – local, including Polish Championships, from 1992, and international, European and World Championships, from 1997, for example:

Sopocki Club Żeglarski Hestia Sopot is a very good place for sport and for recreation. Situated on the beach of Sopot , but in the middle of Tri City agglomeration (Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot) offers many possibilities – beach, sun and sea, but also theatres, museums, cinemas, Aquapark and pubs, restaurants and shops. And it’s a very good point for many regional excursions.
On the club premises there is also a small hotel (all rooms with baths, TV sets and internet sockets) and restaurant "Mesa Sopocka" (serving breakfast and other meals for hotel quests), two recreation and lecture rooms (seating 60), equipped with boards and a screen, a small room that can be used or training courses and conferences (seating about 25). "Słoneczko" bar is also open in the summer season.
